Lydia and Steve complete the Care Certificate programme

National Care Group are pleased to announce that Lydia Carnell and Steve Saxon, Support Workers at Shelton Care Day Services, Stoke-on-Trent, have recently completed the Care Certificate programme.

Created by Skills for Care, the course aims to educate social care workers about identifying set standards within the sector and improve their skills, knowledge and confidence when providing high quality care to individuals with complex needs.

As part of our learning and development initiative, our colleagues across England and Wales, have been taking part in the Care Certificate programme to further help them in providing the excellent person-centred care required to do their job more effectively.

“The Care Certificate is a great first step in Health and Social Care qualifications,” said Nicola Airey, Training Manager. “It demonstrates not only the learner’s competence, but their commitment to their role and providing the highest quality care and support.”

Lydia and Steve have rightly earned their place on the ‘National Care Group Care Certificate Roll of Honour’ which celebrates those who have successfully completed the programme and be shining examples of the commitment our colleagues show in the care they provide.

Well done Lydia and Steve!
