Performing at the Royal Albert Hall

A person we support was part of the Music Man Project Concert performing alongside the community of musicians with learning disabilities and musical theatre star Michael Ball.

A night to remember

We loved watching Paul, a person supported by National Care Group's Endurance Care Maidstone, performing with his local Kent and Medway Music Man Project group at the Music is Magic Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

Paul joined more than 700 performers, including 250 from the Music Man Project, who sang along with The Bands of His Majesty’s Royal Marines and multi-platinum recording artist Michael Ball.

Endurance Care colleagues Alison Irving and Karen Quinney-Newland supported Paul to attend the very special concert in London.

Lauren Huckstepp, Service Manager, said:

“What an amazing event to be part of, not to mention getting to perform with Michael Ball himself. Well done to all of those involved, including our own supported person Paul. It was a very long day but so worth being part of such an amazing event.”

The opportunity to attend the concert was made possible through fundraising efforts.

Paul and his friend Craig, who is also supported by Endurance Care, and is a member of the regional Music Man Project group, contributed to the funds raised.

A musical community

Paul and Craig love to sing. Colleagues at Endurance Care have supported them to attend the Kent and Medway Regional Music Man Project group since it started back in 2017.

The group meets every week to sing along and play instruments with music teachers.

Being part of the group has helped Paul and Craig to develop friendships, grow in confidence, discover their love of music, and simply have a lot of fun.

Music is magic

It’s an amazing opportunity for Paul and Craig to be involved in the Music Man Project.

The project teaches people with learning disabilities to sing, sign, and play original music and arrangements. It supports the people involved to become respected musicians in their community.
