SE, SA and GM are people we support at National Care Group's Endurance Care Deal & Hythe service in Kent. They were recently told about a local beach clean activity organised by Deal With It, an environmental campaign striving to encourage communities to take action towards making their environments more sustainable. The guys were keen to get involved and were supported by their Activity Coordinator, Deborah Berry to attend.

It was a frosty but clear January morning covering a two-mile stretch of Warner beach. SE, SA and GM joined a group of 46 other people from their community and spent two hours collecting plastic, metal, and other rubbish amounting to a grand total of 25kgs!

When they asked if they enjoyed it, the team of three said it was very rewarding to help out and would like to attend the next one. Even though it was freezing cold!

National Care Group thanks colleague Deborah for supporting the people we support to find an activity that is not only meaningful and contributes to a better environment but also supports community integration and relationships.
