Belinda started her career in social care in 1988 supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism moving from long-stay institutional care to their own homes in the community. Initially working for a London health authority, she has since held a variety of roles in both the voluntary and independent sectors. These roles have included senior operational management of services and leading a multidisciplinary team of quality assurance, health and safety, learning and development and practice specialists (PCAS, PBS, mindfulness) to provide expertise and support to the operational teams to enable them to achieve their goals and work towards continuous improvement.

Belinda has also spent many years leading on business development with a focus on developing solutions and improving people’s quality of life and has established a reputation for partnership working and innovation across a spectrum of accommodation and support models. Belinda is excited to have taken on a national role with National Care Group with the remit of developing further sustainable person-centred and outcome focussed provisions for people who need housing and support.

Outside of work, Belinda can be found volunteering either at her local parkrun or as a Volunteer Event Ambassador, providing support to existing parkrun UK events and supporting event teams with the set-up of new events, both 5k and also 2k junior parkrun's. She is also an active member of GoodGym, which is a group of runners that combine regular exercise with volunteering to support local communities.
