Based in and around the Bishop Auckland and Shildon area, Highlea Care is an established domiciliary support provider for adults with varying degrees of learning disability, autism, mental health diagnosis, behaviours that challenge, and complex health needs.
Highlea Care provides support for 74 people across 16 services in the area.
Julie has over 25 years of experience in the health and social care sector and began her career with Highlea Care in 1998 as a Care Assistant and quickly progressed through the organisation to Management.
Julie has been a Registered Manager for more than twenty years in both residential and supported living services within National Care Group, playing a vital role in deregistering all residential services within Highlea Care Limited and supporting the change to the supported living model we are known for today.
Julie say’s “When I joined Highlea Care Limited, I knew on the first day that this would be a job I could make a career from and was supported by a passionate team of people to achieve the goals I had set.
When National Care Group acquired Highlea Care Limited in 2016, that support continued, and I was able to further my own development.
I have never forgotten where I first started and each day fills me with passion to be able to do the best for the people we support.
The teams I work with are very motivated and this makes a huge difference to people’s lives”
As a team and with the people we support, they promote person-centred support and help each person to achieve their goals and aspirations by focusing on the skills they have and building upon them.
They are proud to have made a positive impact on people’s lives and take such reward in being able to see people develop their skills and confidence so they can take ownership over their own lives.
The team and people we support at Highlea Care were recently involved in the creation of a series of recruitment films which really bring to life the great work they do. Please enjoy one of the films below and get in touch with us for any further information:
