About Elm Lodge

Elm Lodge is a residential service that provides support and accommodation to adults who have long-term mental health issues and complex needs.

The home is a traditional bay-fronted Victorian house, which is situated on one of the oldest streets in Carmarthen. The location of the home makes it an ideal location for individuals who enjoy town living and easy access to the local countryside.

The team at Elm Lodge has been effective in giving and keeping up steady, constructive, and positive support that, along with a customised package of care, helps every individual we support to make progress towards their goals.

They invest and take pride wholeheartedly in the excellent help and support provided to the individuals we support. The achievement we have had in helping them to accomplish and keep up a better quality of life, develop confidence, and to continue to live independently in the community.

The home has six ensuite rooms and a large elegantly decorated communal living room and dining room. In addition to this, there’s a large outdoor garden with areas to grow vegetables and fruit.

On the ground floor there is a self-contained flat with an ensuite facility, which is for individuals who wish to live more independently or have some mobility issues.

About Kathleen Lloyd – Registered Manager

Kathleen has worked in social care for more than three decades and is extremely knowledgeable about the sector. She began working as a support worker and over the years through training and development has progressed through various roles.

Kathleen proudly created and delivered many training programmes relevant to the care sector over the years. She enjoys training colleagues and has previously introduced Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (RISCA), as well as trauma training and transactional analysis to her team.

Kathleen is mental health first aid trained. She is also educated up to PG Diploma in Business.
