As we approach the conclusion of 2023, it's been rewarding to reflect on a year of achievement - none of which would have been possible without the invaluable support and collaboration with our partners, the people we support and our brilliant colleagues.

New developments and investments

At National Care Group, our developments focus on local demand and we work closely with our partners to create person-centered services and environments. We know many of the people we support live full and happy lives in a home designed just for them.

One of this year's major developments which opened in October is a brand-new Cornerstones supported living service in Salisbury, developed in close partnership with Wiltshire Council and Golden Lane Housing.

The fully refurbished bungalow has already become home for three people ready to take their next steps towards achieving their goals. After recognising the gap in services within the region, the service was designed to prevent inappropriate placements for people away from their home communities and families.

Continued investment into our existing services

We invested £2m+ into service improvements this year.

One of the major investments is the refurbishment of our Shelton Care Group residential services in Stoke on Trent. Work was completed in the autumn and saw an investment of over £1m into renovation and decoration.

The people we support at the services have been involved in the project from the very start. They've enjoyed choosing the colour schemes and furnishings to personalise their homes.
