NEWS | Welcoming 300 new colleagues to National Care Group
300 JOBS SECURED IN THREE MONTHS: CELEBRATING RECRUITMENT SUCCESS

Our award winning Recruitment and Onboarding team have welcomed more than 300 new colleagues in the first quarter of the year. With 324 new recruits joining the company in total, including nine senior hires, the recruitment boom highlights us as being one of the foremost providers of support services for vulnerable adults in the country.

The new starters come at a time when a national spotlight is on adult social care in the UK, following the government’s recently concluded ‘Made With Care’ campaign, which encouraged job seekers to take up a role in the sector, given a projected shortfall of 105,000 vacancies needing to be filled by 2035.

Claire Leake, our people director said: “We’re incredibly pleased to have welcomed so many people to the group this year. A career in adult social care is not a decision that is taken lightly by many, but having the opportunity to inspire individuals to pursue their interests and live active, social, and enjoyable lives is hugely rewarding. “This recruitment not only highlights how fulfilling the sector can be, but also that our services are ever-growing. Our core ethos is to continue placing the organisation in a position where we can provide the utmost duty of care to even more vulnerable adults across the UK.”

Our services in the North West have seen the biggest influx of new starters, with Affinity and Shelton Care services in Lancashire, Manchester, Liverpool and Stoke-on-Trent respectively having taken on more than 220 team members.

Charlotte Lumley, our Regional Director for the North of England said: “Across the group, we’re delighted to have successfully taken on such a huge influx of colleagues. Our north-west bases are some of our biggest services, so from support workers to team leaders and beyond, it’s incredibly important to be ever adding to our team to ensure the highest standards of care and support can be maintained at all times.”

In addition to our appointments in the North-West, we also welcomed colleagues in Durham, Norfolk, and Wiltshire to take on roles ranging from support workers through to registered managers.

The recruitment and onboarding team, led by Head of Talent Acquisition Carla Gorman, were crowned Support Function of the Year 2022 at our annual awards ceremony in recognition of their hard work and dedication to bringing brilliant colleagues on board.
