Ty Undeb, operated by Integra Community Living Options, part of National Care Group, is celebrating a rating of ‘Good’ across the board following an unannounced inspection by Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW).
Ty Undeb is a residential service based in the heart of Llanelli town providing support and accommodation to adults with mental health diagnoses and other complex support needs.
The ‘ratings’ system is a new way of working for CIW with Ty Undeb being the second of National Care Group’s Wales-based services to achieve a rating, following a successful inspection at Elm Lodge the previous month.

Registered manager of Ty Undeb, Carla Day, commented;
“It is wonderful to receive such positive feedback and a good rating throughout. I’m so proud of the Ty Undeb team. They are dedicated, passionate, experienced, and work incredibly hard as a team to achieve quality outcomes for the people we support, and the fact that their efforts have been recognised so positively by our regulators just endorses that. It’s also reassuring to know that the individuals who live at Ty Undeb are happy, that they feel valued and are living their best lives, and that our visitors feel a warm welcome too.”
A person supported at Ty Undeb told the inspector; "Its good to talk, and we do a lot of that here!".
The parting words of the inspector on completion of their visit were: "Whatever you are doing, don't change a thing. It's been music to our ears!"
