NEWS | Karen & Claire shortlisted for Women Achieving Greatness Awards
The Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care Awards 2022 recognition for Karen Lewis & Claire Leake

National Care Group is delighted to announce that two members of its Executive Team have been shortlisted in the new Women Achieving Greatness in Social Care (WAGs) Awards 2022 - created to highlight and celebrate the incredible achievements of the sector's female leaders.

Karen Lewis, Chief Operational Officer, has been shortlisted as a finalist in The Corporate Leader Award category which recognises the achievements of an outstanding leader from the sector.

Claire Leake, People Director, has been shortlisted as a finalist in The HR and Recruiter Award category. This award will recognise an outstanding woman with a track record in innovative HR or Recruitment.

Over 85 % of the social care workforce is female. Many of these hardworking, dedicated, and talented women juggle the challenges of family life with their careers. The purpose of WAGs is to promote gender equality and celebrate the incredible achievements of our female leaders.

A panel of independent judges headed up by Dr Cecilia Anim CBE, former president of the Royal College of Nursing, carer of a child with complex needs, and learning disability rights campaigner, now have the difficult task of choosing the category winners.

The winners will be announced at the Gala Awards on Wednesday 30 November at The Hilton Bankside Hotel, London.

National Care Group congratulates everyone shortlisted and wishes Karen and Claire the very best of luck in their categories.
