Katie's career in social care began in 2001 in the role of a support worker in a residential home, supporting adults with learning disabilities. During her career, she progressed upwards through various positions before working in operations where she had the opportunity to develop new services and to work with the team to drive quality to ensure good outcomes for the people she supported.
In 2018, Shelton Care, based in Staffordshire, was acquired by National Care Group and as part of the acquisition, Katie became an Area Operations Manager quickly followed by a promotion to Regional Operations Manager.
The transition to NCG provided an opportunity for Katie to work in a bigger operations team in a growing organisation and to develop new skills.
Katie is passionate about the success of the services she oversees and credits all the positive outcomes achieved to the skills, hard work, and dedication of the team. Katie is also passionate about the NCG values and embedding them across her services to get the best possible outcomes for the people we support.
Outside of work Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends and exploring new holiday destinations.
