James has worked in the health and social care sector for over 30 years. He began his career in local government before moving to the NHS. Here, he was responsible for managing a range of hospital and community-based facilities including services for people with a learning disability and mental health issues.
James left the NHS and since then has successfully operated in the independent sector. His last post before joining National Care Group was as the Managing Director of a leading independent provider of support and accommodation for people with a learning disability. James was key to the establishment and growth of that organisation.
As CEO of the National Care Group, James is responsible for overseeing the continued strategic development of our organisation.
His focus is on ensuring that NCG:
- Can always evidence the delivery of the highest quality and is focused on continuous improvement
- Continues to be seen as a great place to work
- Carries on achieving sustainable and profitable growth
Above all, James works hard to make sure that the values and aims of National Care Group are understood and that these underpin the activities of our organisation. At the same time, his aim is to maintain the strength of the local operational brand where appropriate. He welcomes feedback about the services we provide and works hard to ensure that both he and senior colleagues are accessible and visible across the organisation.
