Marta's journey in adult social care started as a volunteer working with older people living with various cognitive impairments and physical disabilities. With her continued passion for people, she began to establish her career working with adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues and various complex needs including behaviours that can challenge within various operational roles in supported living, outreach, extra care and residential care.

7 years into her operational career, Marta delved into the world of referrals, developments and briefly, quality. Having had the gift of working for various organisations, she has had unique opportunities to further sharpen her toolkit with her focus and passion remaining on the individuals who are the heart of our services, ensuring their experiences are meaningful, in their best interest and their quality of life is championed and promoted.

Understanding that to achieve this, their journey and experience from the inception of enquiry is crucial in setting the precedence of 'Outstanding' and 'more than Good' practise, whilst demonstrating partnership and accountability working with commissioners, multi-disciplinary teams and close networks of support. This approach has supported safe admissions and outcomes being achieved for those individuals transitioning from the family home, hospitals and at times prisons.

Having joined National Care Group in November 2023 as Peripatetic Head of Referrals, Marta's priority remains on quality of life, solution focussed approaches in overcoming barriers and promoting person centred care for each opportunity we are gifted to make a difference in someone's life.

Outside of work, Marta plays taxi for her son who is a talented footballer currently on the academy circuit, and also enjoys socialising with family and friends whenever she can muster the energy!
