An investment refurbishment project to transform National Neurological Services (NNS), operated by National Care Group, has reached a new milestone.
With a total of six NNS sites across Lancashire and Yorkshire, the renovations are enhancing the services to meet the rehabilitation needs of those recovering from an acquired brain injury (ABI).
The latest NNS refurbishments to reach completion are at Rosglen and Deepdale, with almost £60K investment transforming internal spaces at both sites into modern, capable environments.
A refurbishment at Barnsley-based Rosglen has not only improved the durability of furnishings but also created a brighter, more homely living environment.
A décor makeover at Deepdale, in Preston, Lancashire, has modernised the living spaces of supported people and turned long, magnolia corridors into bright, modern walkways.
The flooring and paint colours were carefully selected in consultation with registered manager, Katie Robinson, and the people she supports. Together, they have helped transform their home into a homely, modern space.
“We chose a soft, pale grey colour palette throughout the corridors, as it brings a bright, modern look while still feeling warm and homely. It has completely transformed the space. Relatives have been really positive about the transformation, sharing that the corridors look fresh, uplifting and noticeably more inviting.”

As part of National Care Group’s NNS investment programme, refurbishments at Albert Road will soon commence.
Phase two of development to enhance Ashbrook Neuro Rehabilitation will also start in the coming months. During phase one of the investment, the kitchen, garden, and treatment room were carefully upgraded and modernised.
The works at NNS sites form part of National Care Group’s commitment to continuously provide high-quality support and invest in service upgrades so that supported people can achieve their goals and enhance opportunities for colleagues in accessible, modern settings.
With a commitment to sustainability and unlocking positive change, the Estates Team at National Care Group collaborated with local contractors to undertake the upgrades.
“It has been a pleasure working with Rosglen and Deepdale to transform their home so that they feel empowered in their surroundings. We look forward to commencing further works at National Neurological Services sites, all to provide solutions and environments for the people we support and colleagues to enhance their lives and wellbeing.”
