Developing new services in response to local demand
Our Development Programme
National Care Group continues to grow and open new services in response to local demand. New developments provide the best-tailored support for adults with learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses, acquired brain injuries, and autistic people.
We have established relationships with commissioners and housing provider partners that enable us to provide ‘real’ tenancies.
We also develop specialist residential properties as part of our progression model approach, which aims to bridge the gap between more secure provision and tenancy-based support for people with the most complex support needs.

Our Development Process
- Establish demand
Communication with local authorities and health partners, including the integrated care systems, provides insight into levels of demand and unmet needs. We apply our expertise and knowledge to propose solutions - Develop a business case
A detailed business case for a new development includes evidence that there are levels of local demand and unmet needs. Our business case outlines how we will meet the need and how we will deliver a solution.

- Agree on the solution
Once approved, we work with developer and housing partners, as well as our estates team colleagues, to source a solution that will provide high-quality housing and support to meet individual needs. - Next steps of development
Working with internal and external teams, partners, and developers, we devise a bespoke project plan for each development. We engage with supported people, their families, and their circle of support to ensure we deliver on the vision - Moving in!
It’s the best bit when people move in and personalise their new home. We provide bespoke packages of support to maximise people’s choice, control, and independence. Our person-centred approach empowers people to reach their full potential and live their best life.
