Acquired brain injury

Support for people with acquired brain injuries and traumatic brain injuries

Acquired brain injury support

At National Care Group, our specialist neurological services support people with acquired brain injuries (ABI) and traumatic brain injuries (TBI).

We provide services to people needing long-term care and support people who require rehabilitation following trauma in therapeutic settings, and support them to live full and rewarding lives.

We recognise the impact these injuries can have on a person’s life. Our specialist teams help people living with acquired and traumatic brain injuries to strengthen their communication skills and improve their cognitive, sensory, social, physical, and emotional behaviour.

How we support you

Our long-term acquired brain injury support is provided in small residential homes. The specialisms vary from service to service and include supporting people with Wernicke-Korsakoff syndrome, and/or complex and challenging behaviours. Male-only or female-only support is also available at some of our services.

We also provide supported living and outreach support for people with specialist neurological needs. Our expert team is trained in modern techniques and operate with high patient-to-support worker ratios to enhance the level of support provided.

Our expert nursing team is supported by specialists, such as rehabilitation consultants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, neuropsychologists, and speech and language therapists.
