Support for people with mental health conditions
Mental health support
At National Care Group, we are committed to supporting people with mental health conditions to achieve their potential and live as independently as possible. Our specialist services are a core feature of our residential, supported living, and outreach support packages.
We support people with a wide range of long-term mental health needs. These include dual diagnosis, severe affective disorders, co-morbid physical health conditions, physical and/or verbally aggressive behaviour, and self-injurious behaviour.
We have experience working with individuals with complex needs, including those at risk of offending. Many may have been part of the criminal justice system, and our role is to manage their risk and reduce future offenses.
How we support you
Our highly skilled teams support people who experience substantial impairments in their day-to-day living because of their mental health.
We spend time getting to know each person. Working closely with the individual, their families, and other professionals, we focus on achieving positive outcomes. We support people to understand their condition, achieve aspirations, and take control of their lives through individually tailored support.
People we support are encouraged to take part in meaningful activities. We empower individuals to get involved in community activities, develop life skills, maintain friendships, and gain access to employment and educational opportunities.
We carry out recovery-focused interventions, if needed, and encourage people to monitor their progress and take control of their lives. This vital step improves social and emotional well-being.
