The support
On the outskirts of Cardiff, Riversdale is a residential home for 10 gentlemen with mental health support needs.
The Riversdale team helps people assess their existing skills and enhance them further to sustain independent living. They focus on encouraging an open and honest environment for the people we support to communicate their needs and discuss issues they may be struggling with.
They promote a positive, proactive approach to daily living and use individual one-page profiles to ensure all colleagues understand what's important to them.
The properties
There are two separate properties: Riversdale House and the Coach House, which are separated by well-maintained gardens.
The Coach House supports those almost ready to move on into their properties. It comprises four bedrooms, three communal bathroom/shower rooms, a large communal lounge, a dining room, and a kitchen.
Riversdale House has five en-suite bedrooms and one self-contained flat. It is a home that provides rehabilitation support for male adults who want to live independently within the community.
The location
The house is on a bus route into Cardiff and is also close to shops, the Post Office, banks, and local parks.
