Are you an experienced Registered Manager looking for a change?

National Neurological Services is recruiting a dedicated and ambitious Registered Manager to lead our specialist residential service, Rosglen, near Barnsley.

Rosglen is a purpose-built, 6-bed residential home providing high-quality support for adults living with the effects of acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions. Our service offers a welcoming, well-equipped environment where individuals receive personalised support to maximise their independence, wellbeing, and quality of life.

Through our structured progression pathway, we provide both transitional and long-term support, enabling people to develop skills and confidence at a pace that’s right for them. We actively encourage the people we support to engage with their local community, access local amenities, and participate in meaningful activities that promote inclusion, motivation, and personal achievement.

The home features fully furnished bedrooms, each with an en-suite wet room, alongside modern communal living spaces, a range of leisure activities, and a secure, accessible garden for everyone to enjoy.

The Registered Manager Position:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead our Barnsley service and inspire a culture of excellence, quality, and person-centred support.
From day one, you’ll be supported by your Area Operations Manager, Regional Director, and a network of experienced professionals who will help you settle into the role and thrive within our organisation.
Rosglen currently holds a Good CQC rating, and we’re looking for a leader who is passionate about continuous improvement and achieving even greater outcomes for the people we support.

About the role:

  • Lead and inspire your team to deliver outstanding care and support that promotes health, wellbeing, and independence.
  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with all legal, regulatory, and organisational requirements.
  • Drive quality assurance, governance, and continuous improvement across the service.
  • Provide visible leadership by coaching, mentoring, and supporting colleagues to achieve their full potential.
  • Maintain effective oversight of staffing, team engagement, and training compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with families, professionals, commissioners, and regulatory bodies.
  • Support the successful assessment, transition, and integration of new individuals into the service.
  • Promote excellent records, communication, and person-centred support planning.
  • Deliver accurate reporting and performance information to support quality and compliance objectives.
  • Maintain registration with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

 

About you:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager or in a similar leadership role within social care.
  • Experience supporting people with neurological conditions, dementia, acquired brain injuries, and/or complex behaviours.
  • A strong understanding of quality assurance, governance, and regulatory compliance.
  • A Level 4 or Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, or a willingness to achieve this with our support.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Strong communication and influencing abilities.
  • Outstanding organisational and time-management skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to support a seven-day service, including participation in the on-call rota and occasional operational support when required.
