Endurance Care Worcestershire Scoops Three Awards

Kelly, Alvin, and Dean have been crowned award winners

National Care Group’s Annual Conference hosted over 160 social care colleagues across England and Wales. During the day, colleagues participated in workshops to enhance knowledge and attended sector-specific presentations; all before an evening of celebrations at its annual awards ceremony.

With more than 375 nominations received for the 10 award categories, Endurance Care Worcestershire’s Kelly, Alvin, and Dean have been crowned the winners of their respective categories

Manager of the Year

Kelly has been named Manager of the Year, an accolade that recognises an outstanding Registered Manager.

Her dedicated work has been praised by colleagues and the people supported by the social care provider. Kelly is passionate and caring and always ensures everyone remains motivated and the adults supported by the service live their best lives.

Newcomer of the Year

Support worker Alvin won Newcomer of the Year. The award recognises the exceptional achievements of a colleague who joined National Care Group in the past 12 months.

Alvin instantly clicked with the people living at the social care service and the team. He completed training and competency assessments with ease and so much passion for the role. Colleagues say he is always smiling, polite, respectful, and ready to support.

Rising Star of the Year

Support worker Dean has won Rising Star of the Year. The award recognises a colleague who stands out by not only fulfilling their role but exceeding it.

Dean had been out of work for many years when he joined due to his commitments and devotion as a single dad to his children with complex needs.

He had no previous social care experience but his passion for making a difference shone through immediately.

“On behalf of everyone at National Care Group, congratulations to Kelly, Alvin, and Dean at our Endurance Care Worcestershire service on your well-deserved win at our annual awards.

“National Care Group’s ambition is to positively empower the people we support to achieve their full potential. I’m very proud to recognise the hard work of colleagues at our annual awards ceremony – it’s an event that never fails to inspire and motivate us all, with so many incredible achievements celebrated.”

The award nominations were assessed by a panel of judges from National Care Group’s executive team and two supported people.

The awards ceremony was hosted by Care England’s CEO Professor Martin Green OBE and National Care Group’s Non-Executive Director Edel Harris OBE.
