Record-Breaking Community Tea Party

Shelton Care and Regent College make history alongside the Stoke community at a landmark event

Colleagues and the people we support at services across Stoke-on-Trent were among around 15,000 people who came together on 8 July to participate in The Big Centenary Tea Party.

The landmark event was held to mark Stoke-on-Trent’s 100th anniversary celebrations. Communities across the city were invited to participate in a history-making event in an attempt to break the world record for the largest cream tea party held across multiple venues.

According to the City of Stoke-on-Trent’s website, Guinness World Records adjudicators have formally verified a new Guinness World Record!

Well done mi’ ducks!

Celebrations across National Care Group

Regent College was very proud to be part of the centenary celebrations. Everyone got involved with preparing decorations, making the food, and celebrating in a very quintessential way!

Links Day Service was proudly part of the historic event, with tea, sandwiches, cakes, and a toast to the city, as well as busting some moves on the dance floor. Everyone had so much fun!

Oak House took part in The Big Centenary Tea Party with a house tea party and a ‘design a plate’ challenge. Well done to our competition winner, LT, and runner-up, SA!

Colleagues and the people we support at Regent Road enjoyed a delicious feast, complete with tea, cakes, and plenty of fun and laughter!
