Transitioning to adulthood can often leave young people and their families with more questions than answers.
At transition events, National Care Group’s Commercial Team is regularly asked the same questions: What support is available? Where do we start? What happens next?
To make the journey clearer, learners from Regent College helped co-produce an accessible booklet packed with practical information about planning for life as a young adult.
Regent College learners, Sam and Jacko, worked closely with National Care Group’s Marketing Team to create the transition-to-adulthood booklet.
They reviewed the initial designs and shared honest feedback on what should and should not be included, influenced language choices to ensure the information is easy to understand, and advised on the preferred Easy Read approach.

By involving learners throughout the project, the finished booklet reflects the priorities and preferences of the people it is intended to support.
Listening to people with lived experience leads to resources that are clearer, more relevant and more useful, and gives young people a meaningful voice in decisions that affect them.
The Commercial Team has already received very positive feedback about the booklet from families at recent transition events.
