We are currently recruiting for Support Workers to join our team at Steps Newfield View.
Steps Newfield View is part of the National Care Group and is a specialist provider working alongside people with learning disabilities, mental health needs, and autism.
We provide one-to-one support across 14 supported living settings, as well as outreach support in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. As a team, we focus on delivering tailored, person-centred support to help each individual achieve their goals and aspirations. Key Requirements and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be confident driving as part of your role.
- Be flexible and able to work a range of shifts, including sleep-in duties on any day of the week.
- Ideally have experience supporting individuals with complex physical and learning disabilities (desirable).
- Have knowledge of, or willingness to learn, PEG feeding, including administering fluids and medication via PEG (full training provided).
- Be experienced in, or willing to be trained in, the use of hoists and moving & handling techniques.
- Be confident supporting with all aspects of personal care, including:
- Assisting with bathing/showering
- Changing continence products
- Supporting with oral hygiene
- Assisting with dressing and personal presentation
