Reducing Our Water Consumption

New partnerships empower us to reduce our water consumption in Staffordshire and Wales

National Care Group is proud to announce new partnerships with Aqualogic and Welsh Water to trial water-saving initiatives at social care residential services in Staffordshire and Wales

Both partners are leaders in water efficiency and demand management, offering audit and product installation services. National Care Group’s goal is to reduce its current levels of water consumption and waste across its estate.

The trials at a pilot group of services began earlier this year and are already making an impact on the organisation’s water consumption. Thanks to the installation of products including water-saving shower heads, push taps, shower timers and garden hose guns, services have made consumption savings of up to 26% in six months.

Mark Mason is National Care Group’s Head of Estates and Facilities Management. As part of the drive to reduce carbon emissions, he and his team have initiated the new partnerships. He said:

“National Care Group has the opportunity to build on the existing commitments to the environment of its 1,300 people supported in over 250 services across the UK by ensuring innovative water-saving devices are deployed across the estate.
“As an organisation, we are in the early stages of rolling out our carbon reduction plan. With a real passion in the area and years of expertise in water management, Aqualogic and Welsh Water were the ideal partners of choice to begin our water-saving initiatives with, and I look forward to reporting on further savings and expanding into more services in the months ahead.”

Aqualogic has over 30 years of experience in supporting partners in water management.

Welsh Water collaborates with companies to reduce their water costs and enhance sustainability, reinvesting every penny they earn back into water conservation.
