As the government vaccination programme increases in pace, many more of our colleagues across England and Wales are receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.

It was a busy weekend for our National Neurological Services colleagues who received their vaccinations both in the community and within their service. Others including Kathy Howitt from Face 2 Face in Gloucester were also given their vaccine and booked in for their second appointments.

During the coming week we are expecting many more of our colleagues in the North East and other regions to receive their vaccinations.

Karen Lewis, Chief Operations Officer said: "An effective vaccine is the best way to protect the most vulnerable from coronavirus and the biggest breakthrough since the pandemic began. It is a huge step forward in the fight against coronavirus, potentially saving tens of thousands of lives. It is so encouraging to see so many of our colleagues across National Care Group receiving their immunisation."
