GREAT NEWS | Celebrating Albert Road's Success with CQC
Albert Road scored highly by the Care Quality Commission

National Care Group is celebrating the success of its brilliant Colleagues at its residential neurological rehabilitation service, Albert Road, which has been freshly rated as ‘Good’ by England’s health and social regulator, the Care Quality Commission, (CQC).

Many of the people supported at the Manchester based service live with a diagnosis of traumatic brain injury, anoxic brain injury, brain tumour or physical disabilities.

The CQC inspection was carried out in November and the successful result means the inspector found the service was safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well-led.

All health services in England are provided one of four ratings by the CQC: Outstanding, Good, Requires Improvement, or Inadequate.

According to the CQC, the service was able to “demonstrate how people were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff support them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests.”

Some other highlights of the report included:

“People were kept safe and felt supported.”

“Medicine management practices were safe. Care plans were detailed, providing clarity on individuals' needs, likes, and dislikes. Training was comprehensive."

“Staff were aware of the individual needs of people and how they wished to be supported.”

Karen Lewis, Chief Operational Officer of National Care Group said: “Our Team at Albert Road work extremely hard to get everything right and it’s wonderful to see them get the recognition they deserve for the exceptional quality of service they are providing. All at National Care Group are immensely proud of them.”
