CELEBRATING SUCCESS | November's Outstanding Award Winners
Pauline Wood is November's Outstanding winner!

National Care Group's Outstanding Achievement Award Winner for November 2022 is Pauline Wood, Service Manager of our Church House Service in Maidstone

Pauline Wood was nominated by Tara Fewster, her Regional Operations Manager, for how she demonstrates such passion for empowering the People She Supports and how her work with them is always with the utmost respect. Three of National Care Group's values and behaviours.

Pauline has empowered a local family she met in the community to consider a supported living progression step for a relative with support needs, which is now happening thanks to the support, reassurance and advice Pauline gave them. This is just one positive outcome that has come from the passion Pauline shows day in and day out - now even recognised by a member of the local community.

Pauline is an amazing example of how our colleagues at National Care Group go above and beyond in their roles. Her dedication really impressed our Executive Team judges who scored her the highest for this month's awards.

Six other National Care Group Colleagues/Teams were nominated in November for their outstanding performance. Recognition must also go to:

  • Susanne Horsely, Leah Whelan and Mandy Berry, from Affinity East and North. Nominated by Regional Operations Director of the North Charlotte Lumley. Susanne, with support from Mandy Berry and Leah Whelan, has motivated her team to achieve significant milestones and goals and have worked with passion, collaboration, and respect for each other. Susanne and the team have promoted social inclusion and supported people living across services to socialise and build new social circles.

  • Beth Longden and Lily Oram, part of Steps Rotherham, nominated by Annette Hand, Rachel Oram, and Laura Hague for enabling a Person We Support to visit Blackpool to relive fond memories from his childhood.

  • Christopher Sorbie, our Safety Intervention Trainer, nominated by Highlea Care Registered Manager Julie Cowens for going above and beyond in his safety training and showing a real interest in the People We Support and colleagues. He has a real passion for not only his role, but the welfare of everyone around him.

  • Jodie Stoddart, Senior BA of The North, nominated by Regional Operations Director of the North Charlotte Lumley. Amongst other business critical changes she's made, she's also done a great job of recruiting and welcoming new team members.

  • Sarah Stowe, from Jamesons Residential, nominated by Service Manager Claire Carr for her hard work and stepping up and acting as service manager whilst helping to build colleague morale.

  • Zena Payne, from Atlantic Way Care, nominated by Registered Manager of Atlantic Way Care, Beverley Clancey, for Zena's bravery and dedication of dealing with a difficult matter for a person she supports.

National Care Group is extremely proud of all nominated colleagues and thanks them for performing to the values of PASSION, RESPECT, COLLABORATION, AND EMPOWERMENT.
