For many of us and particularly care workers, face masks have become an essential part of everyday life in the battle to beat COVID 19. But regularly wearing a mask can have an unfortunate side effect: ‘maskne’ or mask induced acne.

Caused by the constant rubbing of the mask against against the skin and the trapping of sweat, oil and bacteria that clogs the pores, ‘maskne’ has become an uncomfortable and all too common condition.

In identifying the problem National Care Group's, Operations Team decided to take action and order special face care packs to be given to all our care staff. Containing special moisturisers and other skincare products, for both our male and female carers, the packs are now being distributed across all of National Care Group's 249 locations.
