On 18 September Andrew Brown and David Platts from Fulwell Road, Atlantic Way Care were supported to volunteer at the Seascapes Beach Clean - part of the Marine Conservation Society’s annual campaign to tackle beach litter and to promote environmental issues.
Andrew and David made their mark on newly clear spots of beach after a morning of hard but fun work. With over 20 sacks filled by the group in total, the duo made a great team with Andrew taking the lead on finding the litter and David being the designated 'bag man'.
Ending the morning with a big thank you from Seascapes Tyne to Tees and a huge round of applause for everyone involved.
Thank you to National Care Group's Caron Cook, Area Operational Manager for the North East, who made the session possible for Andrew and David and also attended along with her dog Fonzy.
