Peter has been Responsible Individual of Integra since it was founded in 2005 and was delighted to join the National Care Group family in May 2019 as Regional Operations Manager for Wales.
As Responsible Individual, he supports James, Karen, Mike and the wider National Care Group national and regional team in overseeing the quality of care in Wales. He chairs the Welsh Quality Assurance Panel, which formally reviews the quality of care across Integra and its individual services every 6 months.
Originally a chartered accountant for PwC in their public services division specialising in charities, health and local government, he subsequently worked for 3i in a variety of corporate finance and private equity roles. He then began his career in care with Integra, where he was the founding start-up Managing Director, as he had always wanted to work with others to help make a positive impact within the wider community. As a provider focusing on helping every individual – whether someone receiving support or a member of staff – to maximise their potential, Integra has felt very at home becoming part of National Care Group, as it shares the same ethos.
Outside of Peter’s National Care Group commitments, Peter is also a non-executive board member of Social Care Wales (the workforce regulator in Wales), where he chairs the Improvement Committee. He has previously been a non-executive within the Department of Health and Social Services within Welsh Government (on the NHS Wales National Delivery Group and the National Mental Health Partnership Board) as well as having served 9 years in a voluntary capacity on the board of a housing association in Cardiff.”
"In addition to sharing a love of travelling with his family, Peter enjoys playing social tennis, expanding his very basic cooking-ability and the roller-coaster ride of being an Everton fan.”
