With 29 years’ experience in the care sector, Mike has the knowledge and understanding of the quality and standards required to be a successful care provider.
He spent 19 of those years working within a local authority, where he directly managed a range of services, including residential and day services. In addition, he played a major part in the development of the Education, Health and Care (EHC) pathway, which was developed to support children and young people’s special educational, health and social care needs.
He has also worked as Regional Manager and, later the Head of Quality at the Priory Group, where he oversaw a number of regions including North England, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
When looking for his next role, Mike was attracted to the NGC by the prospect of joining a new national provider of care, and was excited about being part of our journey to become one of the best care providers in the UK.

In his free time, Mike is an avid runner and loves competing in half marathons across the country. He also spends time with his family, and it is his eldest daughter who has autism who is the driving force behind Mike’s passion for ensuring that the people we support receive the highest possible standard of care.
