With a background in Special Education Needs and Youth Service educational settings, Samantha has a focus on the individual and ensuring they are at the centre of any planning or decisions about the care and support.

Samantha made the transition into Adult Social Care in 2008, managing residential and Supported Living services for people with learning disabilities and associated complex needs. Keeping her focus on the individual to ensure her teams delivered consistent, Person-Centred support which Samantha believes is essential to enable individuals to achieve their full potential and the best possible outcomes.

Recognising that the assessment process is key to delivering outstanding support, Samantha moved into Referral Management, this gave her the opportunity to work regionally managing the enquiry process, establishing relationships with individuals, families and commissioners coordinating and managing assessments as well as supporting service development.

Having Joined National Care Group in April 2020 as Head of Referrals (Southwest) Samantha’s focus will be on ensuring the quality of the ‘customer Journey’ from initial enquiry through to the successful provision of support, continuing to ensure the individual remains at the centre of the process.
